Benefits of AAU Affiliation

WHY AAU?

• Your team’s schedule – for the entire season – will be set as early as late December, and no later than late January.
• 
  
• There is a certified adult referee for every match you play; consistent refereeing means that our younger players will more quickly learn what they can and cannot do on the court, while our older players will also benefit from consistent officiating.
• 
  
• 1-day tournament entry fee is typically $220, which helps us keep our fees lower.

Why Pennsylvania?

• In 2015, there was only 1 AAU tournament in Maryland, and it was a more-expensive 2-day event; there are AAU tournaments in PA almost every weekend of the club season.
• 
  
• There are a number of AAU tournaments in northern VA (and also the Tidewater region), but we feel if we’re going to drive a bit more to be able to enjoy the advantages we get from playing AAU volleyball, we’d rather drive through PA than congested northern VA.
